“Moonstone Secrets” is the second book in a series but can easily stand on its own. DeeDee McCreary has traveled to Victoria, BC to meet her boyfriend Nick’s family and is hoping for a proposal but there are problems from the very beginning. When Nick disappears, DeeDee sets out on her own to find him and discovers some disturbing answers. Nick has been arrested for a serious crime and DeeDee must decide if she believes he is guilty or if she should help prove his innocence.
This book is a riveting suspense filled with mystery and danger as well as the expected romantic angle. Character development is excellent and the plot moves at a fast pace. DeeDee and Nick are both worldly people living without faith and are living their lives as would be expected. It is satisfying to watch as they discover a need for God in the midst of their critical circumstances.
I enjoyed “Moonstone Secrets” as well as the first book of the series, “Sapphire Secrets”.

First, let me say that although this is Book 2 in the Seattle Trilogy series, I had no trouble following what was happening, even though I haven’t read Book 1.
The characters Author Dawn V. Cahill brings to life in this book are very intertwined in each other’s lives. So much so that DeeDee was constantly depending on her twin sister when life got tough. Honestly, she irritated me with her self-centeredness, as I’m sure she was supposed to, but to watch her change and grow was encouraging. When God is allowed into the picture people really can change!
Full of mystery, this book has more twists and turns than a corkscrew. It kept me turning pages to find out what happened next.
DeeDee and Nick are a modern couple, living their lives without Christ and while there is reference to their intimate life it was very well written. Clean and well written, at times intense, this is a great book for those who enjoy contemporary romances.

What would you do if the one you are ready to spend the rest of your life with, is accused of a crime that circumstances seem to validate they may be quilts of?
Let me start off by saying that while this book is 2nd in a trilogy, it stands on its own merits. I have not read the 1st book but was able to follow along in this book.
In this book you will follow the story of twin girls DeeDee and Livy who are intimated,y involved in each other's lives. This book focused on DeeDee as she starts to realize that her boyfriend Nick is the one for her. She begins to hope he will propose until one day while visiting his family he disappears for the day and next thing sheknows he is being accused of a crime which it looks like he may be guilty. So now DeeDee must choice whether she will believe in his innocence or get out while the getting is good. After all did she really know him at all. Well get a copy of this book and find out.
I loved the interplay of relationships in this book, particularly between the twin sisters but also between DeeDee and Nick as well as with Nicks sister. They were relatable and realistic.
I also loved how we see DeeDee grow spiritually throughout this story. It shows how God can use our circumstances for good.
I enjoyed reading Moonstone Secrets. The characters were real and believable. The story involves many characters that live for today only and have no concept of God and Jesus. This book is very descriptive, showing the difference between a life center on God and a life centered on nothing. I enjoyed the process of the different characters as they struggled with their humanistic thought versus Biblical truth. I think many people will enjoy this book. It is filled with drama, mystery, love and many other adjectives. You won't be bored reading this one. I would suggest reading the first book of the trilogy before Moonstone Secrets. It can stand alone but will have much more meaning with the first book as back ground. I received a copy of this book with the hope that would give an unbiased review.
Loved reading this contemporary christian romance between DeeDee & Nick.
A super book. A little bit of romance, a lot of suspense and a simple reminder throughout the book that God is always with us. God always loves us. God always forgives us as long as we acknowledge Him.
I loved this next novel in the trilogy.
Suspense grabs you and holds you as the twists and turns pulls you through the novel.
There is a well crafted story line with a cast of intriguing characters.
This book is recommended for those that love Christian romantic suspense.
